FFPAIN2
RELEASE: FRIDAY MAY 14TH
ENGLISH:
The last year was pretty painful for us. Personally and professionally. That's nothing new and you've probably heard it all enough. We all got our stories, but here's ours if you're still reading; We had just released our first album and successfully finished our first national support-tour! Then suddenly we couldn't rehearse and had to cancel a planned co-headliner tour for 2020. It sucked! No money, no seeing your friends. Dating is difficult too if the plague is always just around the corner (unless you got a partner to cuddle). You could suddenly die by being social. Private and professional life was no fun. And how do you even write music if you can't meet as a band? How do you progress as artists when you can't tour? Much, much slower. Day by day, week by week only two bandmembers at a time. We put all of our personal pain, anger, desperation but also our hope for a post-pandemic world in our new single "FFPAIN2". We hope you find yourself in the song and feel the full PAIN2 ;) These things we wrote about started to have the common denominator "Tension" so that is what the whole EP/ or Album will be called. Give us a spin below;

Das letzte Jahr war ziemlich aufreibend für uns. Persönlich sowie beruflich. Das ist nichts Neues und ihr habt wahrscheinlich ähnliches durchgemacht. Wir haben alle unsere Geschichten und wir möchten gerne unsere erzählen. Gerade erst hatten wir unser erstes Album veröffentlicht und unsere erste deutschlandweite Support-Tour erfolgreich beendet. Dann konnten wir plötzlich nicht mehr proben und mussten eine geplante Co-Headliner-Tour für 2020 absagen. Es war beschissen! Kein Geld in der Tasche und alles dreht sich ums social distancing. Daten ist auch schwierig. Im besten Fall ist man in einer Beziehung und hat jemanden Zuhause zum Kuscheln. Sich zu Treffen könnte lebensgefährlich sein. Sowohl das Privat- als auch das Berufsleben hat keinen Spaß gemacht. Und songwriting alleine Zuhause ohne Band ist gar nicht mal so leicht. Das Konglomerat aus Ideen fehlt einfach. Wie kommst du als Künstler voran, wenn du nicht touren kannst? Viel, viel langsamer. Tag für Tag, Woche für Woche, immer nur zwei Bandmitglieder gleichzeitig. All unseren persönlichen Schmerz, unsere Wut, unsere Verzweiflung, aber auch unsere Hoffnung auf eine Welt nach der Pandemie, verarbeiten wir in unserer neue Single "FFPAIN2". Wir hoffen ihr könnt euch mit dem Song auch identifizieren und spürt den PAIN genauso wie wir ;) Passend dazu wird die gesamte EP / oder das gesamte Album "Tension" heißen.

Hey, you're still reading? Cool...cool, cool, cool.
Well, this is the first song we recorded and mixed ourselves in a living room...at home. If you're interested we tracked in FL Studio, normally used for electronic music or hiphop. Why not for a band? After lots of tutorials, angry neighbours and desperately asking close producers for feedback we were at version 12 of the song. Mixing was finally done! Apparently though, mastering is it's own art. What records do we like? What do we even wanna sound like? There was only one person that came to mind, so we reached out to Gold-Record producer "Kris Crummett" for help (Sleeping with Sirens, Issues). Expectations were VERY low, but he took us on as a client....Holy Fucking Shit!!!
Next Challenge; shooting a video during the lockdown, in a pandemic, deserving of his talent. We booked a studio in munich, even had to come up with a hygiene-concept so everyone was safe! We finally had a plan again. The video concept was still missing some sauce though. So we asked a few very talented hip-hop-dance-school friends to come up with a choreography. The result was breakdowns and powermoves, topped with band performance and some animations to make it more fitting to the lyrics.
We know you got other stuff to do so in conlcusion just let us say this:

Hey, liest du noch? Cool ... cool, cool, cool.
Nun, dies ist das erste Lied, das wir Zuhause im Wohnzimmer aufgenommen und gemischt haben. Wen es interessiert, wir haben mit FL Studio gearbeitet, das normalerweise für EDM oder HipHop verwendet wird. Warum sollte man damit keine Band aufnehmen können? Nach vielen Tutorials, wütenden Nachbarn und verzweifelten Bitten um Feedback von befreundeten Produzenten, hatten wir endlich Version 12 des Songs. Das Mixing war endlich fertig! Anscheinend ist das Mastering jedoch eine eigene Kunst. Welche Bands mögen wir? Wie wollen wir überhaupt klingen? Da uns nur eine Person in den Sinn kam, haben wir den Gold-Record-Produzenten "Kris Crummett" um Hilfe gebeten (Sleeping with Sirens, Issues). Die Erwartungen waren SEHR niedrig, aber er hat uns als Kunden angenommen... Holy Fucking Shit !!!
Nächste Herausforderung; Während der Ausgangs- und Kontaktbeschränkungen ein Video zu drehen ist nicht leicht. Wir haben ein Studio in München gebucht und Kle musste sich ein aufwendiges Hygienekonzept einfallen lassen, um es für alle sicher zu machen. Wir hatten endlich wieder einen Plan. Dem Videokonzept fehlte jedoch noch etwas Sauce (Danke an den Google Translator). Aus diesem Grund haben wir einige sehr talentierte Freunde der Hip-Hop-Tanzschule gebeten, sich eine Choreographie für das Video zu überlegen. Das Ergebnis waren Breakdowns und Powermoves, gemeinsam mit Band Performance und einigen Animationen passend zum Text.
So, jetzt haben wir euch genug in Anspruch genommen. Wir möchten uns von ganzem Herzen für eure Zeit und euer Interesse bedanken.
